The Polyurethane and Vulkollan bandages are available in different sizes for different types of machines. Vulkollan bandages are used in the steel industry for heavy duty forklift trucks, but also as wheels for drum sieve installations. It is also possible to manufacture industrial swivel and fixed castors with polyurethane or Vulkollan bandages.

What are Polyurethane & Vulkollan wheels?

Polyurethane and Vulkollan bands are bandages made from a type of plastic, the official name of this material is Polyurethane. The heaviest version of the Polyurethane bandages are made of Vulkollan. This type of polyurethane has the greatest hardness and can therefore withstand the highest load-bearing capacity. Polyurethane and Vulkollan bandages, unlike pneumatic tyres, solid rubber tires and rubber tracks, are not made of rubber but of plastic.

What is the difference between Polyurethane and Vulkollan and rubber bandages?

Polyurethane and Vulkollan bandages can handle a higher load capacity per wheel than rubber bandages in the same size. Polyurethane and Vulkollan are also more wear-resistant and stable than rubber bandages. And Polyurethane and Vulkollan have a lower rolling resistance than rubber bandages.
